Coming to Wonderama from Atlanta, Georgia, nine-year-old Angelica Hale is a truly inspiring young person. She has endured quite the medical saga: at age four, she went on life support as a result of double pneumonia, then her kidney stopped working, as she put it, “for some ol’ reason,” and then, after dialysis, she received a kidney transplant from her mom, who remains a source of boundless love and support for her daughter.
When asked why she decided to come on the show, Angelica could not contain her excitement, exclaiming, “Wonderama is awesome!” We think so too! But what might be even more awesome is Angelica’s attitude towards music. She loves the transformative power of listening to music: it inspires people, it helps people get through a rough patch in their lives. Most of all, though, Angelica loves how “Music makes you get the groove on!”
We had such a fun time getting our groove on with Angelica Hale, and we think you’ll feel the same. Her smile is contagious, her courage is inspiring, and her talent is impressive.
